Following the earthquakes of 6 February 2023, centered in Kahramanmaraş, we undertook the restoration process of the Şeyh Ömer Camii in Gaziantep, which had sustained damage, with a great sense of responsibility.

Throughout the works, preserving the mosque’s original architectural fabric was our primary priority. We meticulously repaired cracks in the load-bearing system, conducted detailed ground surveys, and implemented the necessary structural strengthening measures. Our aim was not only to repair the mosque, but to carry it safely and securely into the future.

We take pride in completing the restoration works and reopening Şeyh Ömer Camii for worship. By safeguarding our historical heritage, we continue our efforts with respect for the past and confidence in the future.
